A Message from the Superintendent:

Welcome to the Bolton Public Schools’ district website!

Bolton is an award winning school district committed to excellence in education.  We celebrate and honor our long history of success that is supported by strong partnerships with the Board of Education, administration, faculty, parents, and the community.  Our outstanding team of administrators and faculty in the Bolton Public Schools is committed to engaging in collaborative work with families to continuously improve our efforts focusing on challenging and supporting our students.

Our district consists of two schools, Bolton Center School which is pre-kindergarten through grade eight and Bolton High School which houses grades nine through twelve with an enrollment of approximately 850 students and 100 staff district wide.  Bolton Public Schools offers families a welcoming learning community in which students engage in academic and extracurricular opportunities that prepare them to become innovative and influential global citizens.  Students receive personalized attention in a school system with a low student-to-faculty ratio.  Our dedicated faculty is committed to a collaborative approach to teaching and learning and job-embedded professional development focusing on meeting the needs of all students.  We have a proven track record of outstanding academic achievement across the disciplines and grade levels. Our curriculum focuses on 21st century college and career readiness by emphasizing problem solving, critical and creative thinking, artistic expression, physical/emotional wellness, and an appreciation of diversity.

We celebrate the many achievements of our students in academics, the arts, and athletics while cultivating personal relationships which are supported by our positive school climate programs.  Our schools foster an environment focused on respect, responsibility, and compassion for others to maximize academic engagement and achievement for all students.  In addition, students are encouraged to discover their individual talents and interests through participation in our strong extracurricular offerings and community service experiences.

We take tremendous pride in the many achievements of our students, faculty, and schools.  Over the past several years, the district has been recognized for excellence in a variety of areas.  Some of our most recent accomplishments include:

Over the course of 2014-15 the district engaged in a process to refine and define our District Mission, Vision and Core Beliefs and create the next generation of our five year Board of Education Goals and the Bolton Public Schools Strategic Plan. Our Strategic Plan is indicative of our focus on improvement, goal setting, and accountability. It clearly outlines our district wide goals, priorities, and indicators of success. The Strategic Plan also serves as the foundation for our budgeting process. Our budget supports our district-wide goals and initiatives.

We will continue to evolve our curriculum and instructional assessment practices to align with the mission and vision of the Bolton Public Schools and build upon the inherent strengths and achievements of our community, students, and schools.  I am privileged to lead this high-achieving district that is representative of the collective efforts of our entire community and look forward to our continued work together.
